New publication on mapping the phenology of crop types

In our new publication”Optimising Phenological Metrics Extraction for Different Crop Types in Germany Using the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS)” we present a calibration procedure to make phenometrics more comparable to ground-based phenological stages. Therefore we optimised the settings of the Best Index Slope Extraction (BISE) and smoothing algorithms together with thresholds applied to the resulting smoothed NDVI curves.
